Child Education Development Programme (CEDP)

Child Education Development Programme (CEDP) is an effort to offer a comprehensive education development scheme with long-term commitment to the selected students in Gujarat State of Western India and the areas where Project LIFE has geographical presence for developmental activities.

Objective of this programme is to build good citizens with high moral and ethical standards. It supports all-round acquisition of knowledge, skills as well as social development. It will foster personality growth and self-confidence through joys of creative abilities and it enhances character-building and creates responsible citizens for developing India.

One year school education of one child carries a support cost of only Rs. 2500 or US$ 60. Every year child communicates to the donor and also receives from the donor a written communication and / or a personal visit. 1545 students have been benefited through this programme.

The CEDP kit contains cash, water bottle (Milton), lunch box (Milton), compass box (Fabre Castle), six books on Mahatma Gandhi, six books on Swami Vivekananda and one book on Jeevan- vigyan Yoga, hygiene kit containing a small towel, soap, toothpaste and two tooth-brushes, school kit containing two notebooks, two pencils, a pair of scissors, an eraser, a pencil sharpener and a 40 game set called 'Dhingamasti' for the all-round development of the young minds in the village.
