''Late Shri Jamanadas Odhavji Sheth-LIFE Scholarship'' for the students of the schools built under Project LIFE is successfully going on for the last three years. Under the aegis of this programme, Project LIFE awards this scholarship to the students of the age-group of 9-15. At this stage of their life students do not have the maturity to understand that education helps to get a good job, earn livelihood or it has become inevitable for a better life. The traditional teaching methods do not allow children to enjoy learning. In such scenario 'Appreciation' is the element which boosts children and becomes the driving force for them to learn and get educated. Our scholarship programme is not only giving financial assistance to the students, but it's a way to 'appreciate' their hard work. It not only motivates awarded children to perform better in the next year and get awarded again, but also encourages all their classmates to get the scholarship. Moreover, all the parents, villagers and teachers are invited in the award ceremony, in which representatives of Project LIFE and school teachers discuss the importance of education with the invitees. The Scholarship Programme is helping the 'Centre for Excellence in Education' to widen its network and reach to more and more parents by apprising them of the educational activities of Project LIFE, so that they can ask for education-related assistance in future also. 206 students got JOS scholarships in 2003-2004.362 students got JOS scholarships in 2004-2005. 808 students got JOS scholarships in 2005-2006.
