Dr. Kamal Parikh, M.D. delivered a lecture on Stress Management at Hemu Gadvi Hall, in the presence of the Rajkot District Collector, District Development Officer and many other Government Officers. Over 1500 Government employees attended this lecture.
Dr. Parikh emphasized on the uses and benefits of yoga as against living a life full of stress. Commenting on the present health scenario with reference to stress and its increasing negative effects both on the emotional and mental health of individuals, Dr. Parikh promoted yoga as an alternative health therapy to deal with the emotional imbalances and various critical situations in ones day to day life.
In this globalized world, where every individual attempts to gain and accumulate wealth at the cost of one’s health, yoga and its practices were helpful in calming one’s mind and in attaining mental peace. Many people in this stressful world choose to commit suicide when faced with a stressful situation and yoga can help them to a great extent. In this world, to live a life which is devoid of stress, one must practice yoga and benefit from the same.
