Project 'Life' added a feather to its cap by imparting vocational training to widows in Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad districts and empowering them to join the mainstream of the society as self confident individuals. The trades for training included sewing and tailoring, hand and machine embroidery, bead work and computers. Along with these hard skills their soft skills of communication, marketing and confidence were also enhanced through motivational talks and orientation programmes . A total of 746 widows were registered under this programme.
